Your Sun Sign
Almost everyone should know their sun sign. It's what you see on instagram posts all the time that go "The signs as....". Here are the 12 basic zodiac signs:
☆Aries- March 21 to April 19
☆Taurus- April 20 to May 20
☆Gemini- May 21 to June 20 Movie: 5 Centimeters Per Second
☆Cancer- June 21 to July 22
☆Leo- July 23 to August 22
☆Virgo- August 23 to September 22
☆Libra- September 23 to October 22
☆Scorpio- October 23 to November 21
☆Saggitarius- November 22 to December 21
☆Capricorn- December 22 to January 19
☆Aquarius- January 20 to February 18
☆Pisces- February 19 to March 20
The reason that there are dates is because whatever birthday you have will fall in between or on one of those days, in one of the zodiac seasons.
Now, if you ever read a post about "The Signs as.." and you find your sign and you're like, "Hey, that's not what I'm like! blahblahblah," well then calm yourself and stop whining. Your sun sign does NOT determine your whole personality of what you are "like". These posts are just for fun and they are based off of each zodiac's stereotype.
Your Moon Sign
Now, your moon sign is different. Your moon sign is an underlying aspect of your personality. It more or less controls your conscious, your feelings, and how you react to those feelings. When you're all alone at home and you act how you want by yourself, that's when your moon sign sort of shines out.
Your moon signs go by the same zodiac names, but they do not have specific "dates". Your moon sign is a little more complex than just the day you were born on. It requires your birthday, obviously, and it also includes the time you were born at, and in which time zone. This is because it will calculate the position of the moon on that day/night, which will figure out your moon sign.

There are also "The Signs as.." based on your moon signs, which tend to be more accurate, but still. If you think something's not "relatable", it's still based on STEREOTYPES. Just like there are stereotypes for races, there are stereotypes for zodiac signs. Does it mean that they are 100% true? No.
If an actual educated person wrote a post on "The Signs as.." using your sun and moon sign, it will probably be the most accurate.
Your Rising Sign
I know, I would like to finish this up, too, so you can continue on your daily lives. By now, I'm tired of typing, as you are tired of reading. But I'm gonna push through this last one, you lazy dorks.
Your rising sign, or ascendent, is your impression on other people, and basically how others see you. Because it plays such a big role, it can even affect your physical appearance. When people first meet you, they are examining and talking to your rising sign, so to speak.
