Book Recommendations!!! (Serena)

Hey, Serena here! Just stopping by to make a post about all the books I recommend! haven't posted in a while omg I had a huge list so I had to narrow it down by a lot lol….

Books can make us laugh out loud, drown in all the feels (this has happened to me way to may times tbh), and simply want to tear our hair out in frustration. Reading can make you escape into another world told by someone who isn't yourself for once, discovering the true depths of friendship, family, love, sacrifice, bravery, and so so much more. But finding the right book that can make you feel this way is sometimes pretty hard… that's why I've decided to make it easier for you by giving you a personal list of some of my favorite books of all time!

In no particular order

1. I'll Give You The Sun
by Jandy Nelson

This book was seriously the cutest thing ever. Well, in some parts. Other times it was dark, captivating, sad, and powerful. I read it over the summer, and I couldn't stop reading it until I was finished. It's definitely a page-turner.

2. Pride and Prejudice
by Jane Austen

Okay, now you're all probably thinking: Ew, an old boring book. And I'll admit, that's what I thought at first as well. But seriously, get that mindset out of your head. Classics aren't always boring. This is definitely a must read. Once I started I couldn't take my eyes off of the pages.

3. Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda
by Becky Albertalli

Did I already say that another book was the cutest thing ever? I change my mind. This book right here is definitely the cutest thing I had read in a while. Just seriously go read it.

4. The Giver
by Lois Lowry

Another famous classic right here—you may have already read it, but it's such a good book you should just read it again.

5. Harry Potter
by J. K. Rowling

Now if you haven't read this series, I will seriously shun you for life. Just read it. Harry Potter was my childhood. Read it before it's too late. *cough* Sammi *cough*

 6. Lunar Chronicle Series
by Marissa Meyer

Here's a book series recommendation from Fionnuala! She has read this series and absolutely loved it. I haven't read it myself, but I definitely think it looks like an interesting book right from the cover.

And.... lucky number 7!

7. An Ember In the Ashes
by Sabaa Tahir

So I actually read this as an independent reading book this year... and I absolutely loved it. It's like a perfect mix of all the dystopian books I've ever read. It's amazing.

So I'll be doing this weekly (hopefully!) See you next time!
